Solar energy system types
|
(1) Stand-alone solar energy system
|
*Definition: Non-reversible solar energy system equipped with capacitors
*Applied locations:Mountains, remote islands where the power plant electricity can not reach
*Operate mode:The system uses capacitors to load and recharge electricity at day time then discharge at night time, electricity
can be stored in capacitors.
*Design considerations:
1.There are numerous points of considerations:Arrays,volume of capacitors,loading effect,climate
2.Normal chargers do not contain MPPT and have lower conversion efficiency.
3.Capacitors have short life spam >discharge 50% volume ratio per day>0.2C recharge ratio.
4.When the solar energy efficiency is behind demands, the capacity utilization would be low
5. Use Hybrid systems with diesel generators or wind energy are improvement method.

|
|

(2)Grid connected solar energy system
|
*Definition: Reversible, able to work with parallel solar energy system
*Applied locations:Where the power plant electricity can reach
*Operate mode:Electricity provided by solar energy system at day time then by ordinary power plants at night time.Ordinary
power plants become giant capacitors in this system.
*Advantages:The system is simple and does not need to consider safety factors;contains MPPT ,high conversion efficiency
as well as capacity utilization
*Dis-advantages:1.The system could shut down if electricity is cut off.
2.Parallel inverter can not work with capacitors

|
|

(3)Emergency prevention solar energy system
|
*Definition : Inverter has power-reversing transmission function, equipped with capacitors, able to work with grid connected
or stand alone solar energy system
*Applied locations : Public facilities where require emergency preventions(lighting, water, communication ....)
*Operate mode:
1.Hybrid energy system, high efficiency and high utilization , electricity provided by ordinary power plants at night
2.Build enough emergency prevention capacitors if required ,generate and recharge from solar energy at day time if
suffered from long period of electricity shot down, then generate from power plants at night time
3.Capacitors should be maintained daily without 100% discharge volume ratio, life spam can be therefore extended
4.Dis-advantages :Complex system and higher costs
